About polling |
|
| |
| How can voters get to know about the candidates before polling? |
| Following the announcement of the candidate list, the nomination agent will send out candidate platforms to voters and upload them to the website. In addition, the nomination agent will also arrange a forum for candidates to explain their platforms and communicate with voters directly. |
|
| |
| If I have lost my Hong Kong identity card, what other document proof of identity can I submit to the nomination agent so that I may retain my right as a voter? |
| You should provide another documentary proof of identity with your identity card number, name and photo printed on it to the working staff at the polling station. Our staff will examine your identity document and cross-check the data in our voter register to establish your eligibility as a registered voter. The nomination agent has the final authority on this matter. |

| |
| How can I obtain the polling results? |
| Upon completion of polling, the nomination agent will count ballots at the polling station and announce its results which will also be uploaded to this website. In addition, the nomination agent will also issue a press release to publicise the names of candidates who have received the highest number of votes in their respective arts interests. |
|
| |
| Why does the nomination exercise adopt a “cross-interest” voting system? |
| We believe that the “cross-interest” voting system will motivate members of different arts interests to make concerted efforts in promoting arts development in Hong Kong instead of focusing on specific interests of their respective sectors. |
